Soooo yeah, I got a shaman to level 34 on moonrunner (Woden) and my friend in RL wants me to join him on burning legion so I made a shammy and just got it to level 13 today, which will probably become my main alt (as much as I hate PVP realms, but my friend is forcing me too :p)

Anyways, shamans, yeah, they are amazing. The life of a shaman is more excessive than an 80s rockstar. For example, shamans get things like water walking, water breathing, a second hearthstone with a cooldown of only 15 minutes instead of an hour, a resistance totem for any type of magic damage (fire, ice, nature, etc) They can heal better than paladins, they can ressurect, they can SELF ressurect, they have a totem to counter everything you can imagine, they can tank at earlier levels then offtank very well at higher levels, they can use all melee weapons except 1 and 2 hand swords, they can use shields, they can.......

And so far the only downside to plating a shaman is they can't stealth......yet........

Ok enough of that, anyways my point is being a shaman is pure luxury, I dont know WHY blizzard gave them soooo many things they dont need, but hell, if you cant beat em, join em, right? :p

Oh yeah, shamans also get reviewed in 3 patches.
