As most of you know, we are still working toward getting our guild to raiding strength. In the meantime, many of you will be invited (once you reach 60) to raids with other guilds. Here are a few things that those guilds will expect you to have. (If you know of additions to this list, please add it in a reply.)

* - The latest version of CT_RaidAssist

This mod allows for main tank assignment by the raid leader in a way that makes it easier to assist and reports hp, mana, buffs, and debuffs of anyone or everyone in your raid. You can set it to notify when someone is debuffed with specified types as well as notify when buffs you can recast fade. It also makes it easier for the group to stay coordinated. Version 1.541 is the latest currently and earlier versions will not function adequately.

* - Ventrilo or Teamspeak

Our guild uses an older version of Ventrilo so that we can maintain compatibility with our server. Most other guilds, however, will expect you to use a newer version, so have it on hand. Raids are a LOT (L-O-T) easier and more fun when you can at least hear the raid leader.

* - Decursive

This is a cleaning mod. Its job it to help a class that can remove debuffs, do it with ease. It lets you create a priority list for debuff cleaning and bind it all to one key that you can "spam" to remove curses and the like. In some raid instances, this ability can the mean the difference between success and a wipe.

* - Good attitude.

Remember, you represent your guild. I've been on runs where the sponsoring guild got a bad impression of an another guild based on the behaviour of their contingent in the raid party and were reluctant to invite members of that guild for future raids. Respect the sponsoring guild's loot rules and avoid the temptation to do your own thing at the expense of the party.

Hopefullly soon we will be in a position to sponsor our own runs.. until then, being a valuable raid member in other groups will help you and the rest of us get some phat l00t.

Good post....brings up a good point. Will we ever get the updated virsion of Ventrilo, compatibilty yeah, but will It be brought up in the future?
