Here are some macros for Hunters I find helpful -
This one is a Pet Assist which allows you to target your Pet's target
/script AssistUnit("pet")
Here's one that allows your Pet to Assist You making Pet attack your target
/script PetAttack()
I like this one a lot. Feed Pet without opening bag. The x,y are bag locations (x = Bag 0-4 right to left) (y = Slot 1-? left to right up to down)
/cast Feed Pet
/script PickupContainerItem(x,y)
This one is a courtesy to the person in your group that can Rez. It's just Feign Death with text
/s Type something here to let everyone know you did not just die and don't try to rez
/cast Feign Death
Enter the Macro and create a button then add to your Action Bar.

Since it was asked, I will clarify...
The 1st Macro listed, Pet Assist, is typed as is. The part ("pet") does not mean your Pet's name.
Any other questions feel free to ask me. _________________ Stonehauss -- Level 70 Hunter |

It's been a while and the macros above probably no longer work. So here are the current macros I like to use.
This is my all around do anything multi-pet management button. This button will call your pet if not around. It will revive pet if dead (however, I find the revive feature to not work all the time). It will send your pet in to attack target while casting Hunters Mark. If your pet is set to stand still or is fighting it will call your pet to follow you. This is a big macro and will use up all your macro space, be sure to make sure after you input it that it does not clip the last letter(s) off the macro. Eliminate spaces if needed, as written below there is a space missing to make it all fit.
/cast [nopet] Call Pet;[target=pet, dead] Revive Pet
/clearfocus [target=focus, dead]
/focus [target=focus, exists] player;target
/clearfocus [target=focus, noharm]
/petattack [target=focus, exists]
/petfollow [target=focus, noexists]
/cast Hunter's Mark
Here is my Misdirection macro. The word pet can be substituted for a player's name if you wish to cast on the tank.
/cast [target=pet] Misdirection
This is my Assist macro. Not really a dedicated Hunter Macro, but still usefull. This will allow you to target the target of another player in your group by targeting that player (or pet).
/assist [target=focus, exists]
/cast [noncombat] attack;
/startattack [combat];
