Seasonal Quest Guide (Christmas 2005)

Alliance -- Ironforge

Great-Father Winter is Here!
Wulmort Jinglepocket, a goblin near the Bank will give you a quick quest telling you to see Great-Father Winter. Purely XP

Treats for GreatfFather Winter
Great-Father Winter is located just outside the Bank and will give you a quest to bring him 5 Gingerbread Cookies and 1 Ice Cold Milk. Probably the easiest way is to check the Auction House, but if you are a cook or are willing to take up cooking, you can purchase a Recipe : Gingerbread Cookie from Penney Copperpinch standing near the Auction House.

1 x Small Egg <~ Drops from Vultures and other birds around the world.
1 x Holiday Spices <~ Also available from Penney

Stolen Winter Veil Treats - Level 30 and up
Wulmort Jinglepocket gives you a quest telling you to go look for the Smokywood Pastures investigator at Alterac Mountains. From South Shore head up into Alterac Mountains and follow it around to your left, you will pass the Crushridge Orgre's and come into a patch with Yeti's, or most likely Yeti Corpses. Keep going till your almost at the snow edge and you should see a yellow dot pop up on your map, you should find a snowman there. Speak to him and he gives you the next stage.

For this next stage you need to kill a level 36 Elite Yeti. You need to be quick though as everyone jumps on him straight away. If you can tag him though, you get a lot of help killing. =p After you have killed that, head back to Ironforge. The reward for this is a random gift including tradeskill items. 24 hours later you will mailed the snowman costume from Father Winter.

Metzen the Reindeer - Level 40 and up
Wulmort Jinglepocket gives this quest. Metzen the Reindeer is being held captive at both Searing Gorge (Stonewrought Pass) and Tanaris (Digger Cove). You will have to fight off the guards most likely and then talk to the reindeer. The reward is 5 Fresh Holly that if you used while mounted will turn your mount into a reindeer. You will also then be able to just use the machine there to purchase more Holly.

Also if you are over level 40 already and blow a kiss to any Winter Reveler ( /kiss ), you have a change of getting 5 x Fresh Holy which will transform your mount also.

The reason for the Season
Goli Krumn is a Dward standing not far from the rest of the Xmas activities and gives you a quest to see Historian Karnik at the Explorer's League in Ironforge. After you see Sagorne (and collect XP) you are sent to King Magni Bronzebeard, also in Ironforge. Pure XP quest...

Snowballs!
Macey Jinglepocket will sell you all the snowballs you can carry.

Mistletow
Blow a kiss to any Winter Reveler ( /kiss ) and they will give you 5 x Mistletow that you can use on other people. When you do, you give them a buff of Increased Spirit by 20.

Become a Gnome
For those that want to experience the world from a shorter perspective, step outside the gates of Ironforge (or perhaps Stormwind) and step into the contraption there.

Furmond is a Tauren standing not far from the rest of the Xmas activities and gives you a quest to see Sagorne in the Valley of Wisdom. After you see Sagorne (and collect XP) you are sent to Thunderbluff to Cairne Bloodhoof who can be found on the East part of the main section. Pure XP quest...
